Introduction
The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is a UK, nationally recognised certification program that aims to ensure that construction workers have the necessary skills and knowledge to work safely on construction sites in the UK.
Obtaining a CSCS card is not legally mandatory for most construction workers in the UK, however it demonstrates their competence and commitment to health and safety and has become the ‘de facto’ requirement for working on many projects. It has thus become an essential requirement for gaining employment on construction sites across the country.
